Every time you generate a Cosmic Chart or Matchmaking report, it counts against your plan's usage limits. We track usage monthly (depending on your plan). For Cosmic Chart generation, paid plans also receive a one-time Bonus Credits allocation as a starter gift — used as overflow when your monthly quota runs out.
Each plan defines how many times you can perform an action (e.g., generate a Cosmic Chart) within a monthly window. Once you reach the monthly limit, you need to wait until the next billing cycle — or your Bonus Credits can cover additional Cosmic Chart generations if any remain.
Bonus Credits are a one-time welcome allocation given when you first activate a plan. For Cosmic Chart generation, they act as an overflow buffer: your monthly chart credits are used first, and Bonus Credits kick in only when the monthly quota is exhausted. Once used, Bonus Credits are not replenished — they are a starter gift, not a recurring benefit. The Free plan also receives 1 Bonus Credit to try Cosmic Chart generation once.
Limits reset lazily — the counter resets the next time you perform an action after the billing cycle has rolled over. For example, if your monthly Cosmic Chart limit resets at the start of your billing cycle and you make a request after the cycle rolls over, the system resets your counter at that point. Bonus Credits are a one-time starter allocation and do not reset. You do not need to do anything manually.
When you try to perform an action that exceeds your current plan's limit, the request will be blocked and you'll see a message explaining which limit was reached. You can wait for the window to reset or upgrade your plan for higher limits.
No. Limits are configured dynamically based on the subscription and capabilities assigned to your account. The Help page explains the behavior, but the exact numbers come from the active configuration in the system.
After signing in, go to the Billing page from the account menu. There you can review the currently available plans and upgrade. Updated limits take effect after the subscription change is applied.
When a limit is shown as 'Unlimited', it means there is no cap for that particular action — you can use it as many times as you need. Internally this is represented as -1 in the system, which means no restriction is enforced.
Saved profiles let you store birth details (name, date, time, and place of birth) so you can quickly generate charts or matchmaking reports without re-entering information. Each plan allows a different number of profiles. For example, a plan limit of 5 means you can create up to 5 profiles.
Your existing profiles are never deleted. When your plan's profile limit decreases, profiles that exceed the new limit are soft-locked — they remain visible but cannot be selected for chart generation or edited. If you had more profiles than the new limit allows, only the oldest profiles (up to the new limit) stay active; the rest are locked. You can delete locked profiles to free up slots, or upgrade your plan to restore access.
The oldest profiles (by the date they were created) stay active. Newer profiles beyond the allowed count are locked first. This ensures you keep your longest-used profiles after a downgrade.
Locked profiles are never deleted automatically. You have two options: (1) Delete profiles you no longer need — this frees up slots and may unlock remaining profiles if the total drops within your plan limit. (2) Upgrade to a plan with a higher profile limit — all profiles within the new limit will become active immediately. Locked profiles are still visible in your account, they just cannot be used for chart generation or editing until unlocked.
Astro Consultant offers a Free plan (no payment, no expiry) and two paid tiers — Astro Plus and Astro Pro — each available on monthly or yearly billing. Yearly plans offer a lower effective monthly rate. Visit the Billing page to compare features and pricing.
Go to Billing → Change Plan. For upgrades, the change typically takes effect immediately and you are charged only the prorated difference for the rest of your current billing cycle. For downgrades (including switching to the Free plan), the change is scheduled for the end of your current billing period so you keep current features until then.
It means a plan change has been scheduled. Your current plan continues with all its features until that date. On that date, your next billing cycle starts at the new plan's price — or, if you're switching to Free, your account moves to the Free plan automatically with no interruption.
Some payment methods do not allow charges outside the regular billing cycle. When an immediate charge is blocked, the system automatically schedules your upgrade for the start of your next billing cycle instead. Your current plan continues uninterrupted until then. See the payment rules section below for details specific to your country.
It depends on the type of scheduled change. If you have a paid-to-paid plan switch pending (e.g., switching between Plus and Pro), you can open Change Plan again and select a different plan — this replaces the old scheduled change. However, if you already confirmed a switch to the Free plan, the Change Plan button is disabled until your current plan expires, because the cancellation has already been sent to the payment provider and cannot be reversed.
Go to Billing → Change Plan and select the Free plan. A confirmation dialog will list the paid features you will lose. After confirming, your paid plan continues until the end of the current billing cycle, then your account automatically transitions to Free. Your chart data and profile history are not deleted.
Turning off Auto-Renew means your paid plan will not renew at the end of the current billing cycle. Your plan continues until the displayed expiry date, then it expires with no fallback. Unlike switching to the Free plan, there is no automatic tier — your account will have no active plan and you must re-subscribe manually to restore access.
Switching to the Free plan (via Change Plan) automatically transitions your account to the Free tier at cycle end — you keep basic access with no interruption. Turning off Auto-Renew (via the billing toggle) simply stops renewal; your account has no active plan after expiry and you must re-subscribe manually. If you want to retain some access after your paid plan ends, use Change Plan → Free rather than toggling Auto-Renew off.
It depends on timing. If you turn it back on before the payment provider processes the cancellation, the toggle reverses and your subscription renews normally. If the cancellation has already been processed, re-enabling is blocked — you will see an error message and must wait for the plan to expire, then re-subscribe.
When you log in, the plan selection dialog opens automatically. Choose any available paid plan and complete checkout, or select Free for immediate no-payment access. All previous invoice history remains accessible in Billing History.
Your saved Cosmic Charts remain accessible during a grace period after a downgrade or cancellation. After the grace period ends, charts that exceed the new plan's Bonus Credit limit are permanently removed. The Free plan includes 1 Bonus Credit — enough for one saved Cosmic Chart. To keep your charts, export them before the grace period ends using the 'Download All' option on the Cosmic Chart page.
For new subscriptions, you are charged at checkout. For renewals, you are charged at the start of each new billing cycle (monthly or yearly). For immediate mid-cycle upgrades, a prorated charge fires right away for the difference between your old and new plan.
When you upgrade mid-cycle with immediate effect, the payment provider calculates the unused value remaining in your current plan and deducts it from the cost of the new plan. You are charged only the difference.
Razorpay automatically retries the charge over several days. You will receive an email notification and your billing page will show a payment issue banner. Your plan features remain accessible during the retry period. If a retry succeeds, your subscription automatically restores to Active.
If all retries are exhausted, your subscription is suspended and access to paid features is removed. Go to Billing and start a new subscription checkout with a working payment method. Your previous invoice history and saved data are retained.
Go to Billing → Billing History. All past invoices are listed there with PDF downloads where available. Invoice emails are sent to the address on your Astro Consultant account — check your spam folder if you do not see them.
Go to Settings → Preferences and select your preferred language from the Language dropdown. Your choice is saved to your account and controls the language used for all app content and API responses. The change takes effect immediately after saving.
When you create your account, the app automatically saves the language you were using on the signup page as your default preference. You can change it anytime from Settings → Preferences.
